H.E. mohAMED DORI MOHAMED leads IN THE signing of condolences book AT TANZANIA EMBASSY IN MUSCAT
On Monday, 22nd March, 2021, H.E. Mohamed Dori Mohamed Yakub, Ambassador of Kenya led in the signing of the condolences book at the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in the Sultanate of Oman following the demise of the former Tanzanian President John Magufuli. Kenya reaffirms its solidarity with the Government and People of Tanzania during this difficult time.

On Friday, 19th March, 2021, H.E. Mohamed Dori Mohamed Yakub, Ambassador of Kenya to the Sultanate of Oman accompanied by Mrs Yakub, visited H.E. Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Ambassador of Tanzania to the Sultanate of Oman to convey Kenya’s condolences to the government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania following the death of President John Magufuli.
As per the solemn proclamation by H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya - https://www.president.go.ke/2021/03/18/presidential-proclamation-with-respect-to-the-death-of-dr-john-pombe-magufuli-president-of-the-united-republic-of-tanzania-solemnly-issued-at-state-house-nairobi-on-the-18th-day-of-march-2021/ Kenya will observe seven days of mourning and the Flags of the Republic of Kenya as well as that of East Africa Community (EAC) will fly half-mast from Thursday, 18th March, 2021 until sunset on the day of the funeral.

The Government of the Republic of Kenya has fully automated the issuance of visas with effect from JANUARY 1, 2021.

AMNESTY extension
The Sultanate of Oman declared an amnesty for those who have not renewed their Resident Card, Visa and have been staying without valid Resident Card, Visa, and have been staying without valid visa in Oman. Oman. Such a person can leave Oman without payment of the Fine. The Amnesty was from 15th November, 2020 to 31st December, 2020
However, the amnesty has been extended from 31 December, 2020 until 31st March, 2021
